 Who is Archadeck? Archadeck was founded in June of 1980 by an architect and a builder in Richmond, Virginia. We build custom-designed decks, porches, gazebos and related outdoor structures. We are proud to say that Archadeck is now the nation’s largest franchised builder of custom-designed wooden decks, with offices in the United States and Japan. With more than 65,000 projects built nationally, we have become known as “America’s Deck Builder.” And Archadeck designs and builds screened porches, sunrooms, gazebos, arbors, docks, pool decks, and much more. Franchise Ownership with No Construction Experience . . . Archadeck’s franchisees come from a variety of backgrounds and industries including communications, computers, accounting, retailing, sales and management. Potential franchisees are surprised to learn that no construction experience is needed to own an Archadeck franchise. Before a franchisee is selected, they visit with the operations staff in Richmond, VA. We want to learn as much as possible about an applicant. This helps to insure they have the skills and motivation essential to become a successful franchisee.  Archadeck believes in thorough and extensive training . . . Archadeck provides pre-training, 20-day training at our corporate headquarters, start-up field training, executive advise and counsel, regional seminars, toll-free phone numbers to headquarters, drafting services, training services, collateral materials (forms, software, brochures, and more). During the 20 days of training in Richmond, the franchisee will be taught marketing, sales, construction, and administration skills. We know that our success depends on your success and we want you to have the best tools available.
