We don't have too many hard-and-fast rules at Steak Escape, but QUALITY is one we won't bend on. Back when we began the Steak Escape business in 1982, we built it on a foundation of freshness and quality. To us, that meant not settling for anything but the best ingredients and preparation methods. From our fries hand-cut from fresh Idaho potatoes and our lemonade squeezed fresh every day from Sunkist lemons, to our in-store-baked cheesesteak rolls and premium meats and cheeses, you simply cannot improve on our quality. And after all these years, we still feel comfortable cooking it all to order right up front, for every customer to see and appreciate.

Way
back in 1982, when we opened the first Steak Escape in Columbus, Ohio, we made
a lot of mistakes. The kitchen
caught on fire, Mark caught his thumb in the slicer, and we kept running out
of food. You see, in the beginning, we learned the hard way. But we never sacrificed
the one thing that's most important: Quality. We figure that's why we tripled
our initial sales projections our first year. And that's why our first manager
became our first franchisee. And that's why there are so many Steak Escape restaurants
opening across the country and around the world.
At
Steak Escape, the customer will find the freshest food, served as fast as freshness
will allow--with as much fun as possible! They can watch their steak sizzle
on the grill right in front of them and feast their eyes on vine-ripe tomatoes,
fresh onions, mushrooms, green peppers and real (not processed) cheeses all
waiting to be thrown on the grill. They can get acquainted with the friendly
Steak Escape guy or gal behind the grill as their made-to-order sandwich takes
shape on a genuine, fresh-baked Philly cheesteak roll.

franchise owners. Constantly maintained with up-to-date info, like management
feedback and current sales reports, it's like having the home office in Columbus

Steak Escape was originally mall-based, but we're growing quickly into locations
that expand the possibilities even further . . . like college campuses, airports,
convenience stores, military bases, sports arenas, power centers and strip centers.
We're also very enthusiastic about our free-standing stores because of their
greater visibility, their potential for drive-thru sales, and the infinite size
and site options that will help us continue to capture more customers, more
of the time.
